Larnach Castle and Gardens

The Castle was built in 1871 by politician and merchant baron, William Larnach, a man of great vision who helped shape New Zealands history. Set amongst 35 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds, the new re-creation of the Colonial Farm building set in the gardens at Larnach Castle features 12 beautifully decorated "Themed Rooms" with spectacular harbour, ocean & Peninsula views. Guests staying at Larnach Lodge receive complimentary entrance to the award winning Larnach Castle during opening hours as well as complimentary breakfast in the Historic Stables. Enjoy lunch, morning / afternoon tea in the Castle Cafe or dinner in the Castle Dining Room (additional cost).
