Children & Extra Guests
Infants & Children under the age of 5 are free of charge when occupying adults room using existing bedding. Cribs are available complimentary for children up to the age of 2. Additional Beds can be arranged for Deluxe Suites only and a charge will apply. Due to the size and intimacy of Matakauri Lodge, they are unable to accommodate in excess of 2 children at any one time. Alternate dining arrangements will be made for all children under the age of 12 after 7PM.
Extra person: $NZ 400.00 GST exclusive per adult, per night.

*No arrivals or departures on Christmas Day
*Special booking conditions and a three night minimum stay applies during *Peak season 1-31 October 2011
*A two night minimum stay applies 15th December - 31st March.
*A holiday season surcharge of NZD $200.00 + 15% GST per person per night applies to guests staying 23rd December 2011 - 5th January 2012 & 24th December 2012 - 3rd January 2013.

Cancellation Policy
Matakauri Lodge is a small exclusive retreat, therefore the following applies:
- Clients will be charged a 25% deposit to secure the booking.
The above deposit of 25% of the total stay is non-refundable.
Bookings made within 30 days and/or where no deposit has been charged, a cancellation fee of 25% will still apply.
Any cancellations made within 7 days will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
New Years Eve and Christmas Day:
- Any bookings made for Christmas Day and New Years Eve require a 25% deposit 60 days prior to departure. This deposit is non refundable and for any bookings that have not paid the deposit, the 25% cancellation fee still applies.
For cancellations within 30 days during Christmas and New Years, a 100% cancellation fee is charged.
