Wharekauhau is a 5000 acre rural retreat on the south east coast of New Zealand's North Island. Ten minutes by air from Wellington (90 minutes by road) Wharekauhau is framed by the Rimutaka Ranges to the west and Palliser Bay to the east. With private native forest, spectacular beaches, rivers, lakes and wetlands, Wharekauhau is a haven from the outside world.

-Children under 12 years are required to dine either prior to pre dinner drinks and canapes or privately.
-Child minders are available while parents dine.
-Child rates may apply when occupying own room.
-Extra person charge applies to various rooms.
-Single occupancy rates apply to Cottage Suites and Security Room.

Payment Policy
In order to confirm a reservation, we require a deposit of 25% of total stay or a current credit card number (with expiry date) to guarantee
the booking. We levy a 100% charge of the total stay to the credit card 30 days prior to arrival.

A surcharge per person applies to all rates for Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

All rates are subject to confirmation at time of booking.

A Security / Escort room cannot be booked individually.  Security / Escort room bookings must accompany booking for at least one other cottage.

Ample parking available on site.

Cancellation Policy
In the event that we are unable to replace a cancelled booking, the following policies apply:
- If a reservation is cancelled within 8 to 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of the tariff for each night cancelled will be charged.
- Should a cancellation be received within 7 days prior to arrival, 100% of the tariff for each night cancelled will be charged.
- If a reservation is cancelled 60 days prior to the 15 December - 15 January, 25% of the tariff for each night cancelled will be charged.
- If a reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to the 15 December - 15 January, 100% of the tariff for each night cancelled will be charged.
