One of New Zealand's first established accommodation houses, this private Lodge is a famous trout fishing destination & environmental retreat. The seclusion of the Lodge is a major part of its attraction. While access is easy, the Lodge is in one of the most remote settings for New Zealand accommodation. The final stage of the magnificent drive leading to the Lodge is shingle road, flanked by pristine podocarp forest, with some trees dating back 600-1000 years. The nearest permanent house is six kilometres away.

Situated on the West Coast of the South Island. Approx 50 minute drive from Greymouth or Hokitika, 1 hour from Arthur's Pass.

Drivers & Guides $NZ 120 +GST per night A minimum stay of three nights is recommended and a two-night minimum stay applies over the Christmas/New Year period
Cancellation Policy
A 25% deposit to secure reservation (may be by credit card guarantee) is non-refundable in the event of cancellation within 30 days of arrival. Full payment is non-refundable for cancellation within seven days. This is the standard policy of the NZ Lodge Association.
Sleeps 1-2 persons. Situated in the lodge with ensuite bathroom and charming outlook. Rates are per room, double, single or twin, in New Zealand dollars and are GST exclusive (12.5%).
Courtyard Room DBB
Rate is per night and includes accommodtion, cooked breakfast and a four course dinner per person, based on 2 persons. Rate is exclusive of GST.
Guided Fishing (1/2 Day)
Trophy Brown Trout, Kahawai, and Salmon, per guide, per 1/2 day, maximum 2 anglers per guide. *Please note: The full Trout fishing season is 1 October to 30 April - several lakes and some rivers are open May through September. Tariff includes transport/equipment/lunches. Fishing Licenses are required and are approx. $NZ 18.50/day $NZ92/year incl GST.
