more sedate and less huried than in Queenstown, Wanaka features many of the same high adrenalin
activities and adventures. So if you want to do your paragliding, jetboating or rap jumping in
a more quiet and secluded atmosphere, Wanaka may just be the place.
Wanaka is also very near several excellent ski areas (such as Treble Cone and Cardrona) and
some very good places to go tramping. Many of the most popular activities in Wanaka involve the
beautiful lake.
